With the Murderdolls' latest record 'Women And Children Last' having been released at the tail-end of last month, we thought that it would be a good time to wake Wednesday 13 up at the crack of 1pm at home in the States for an in-depth chat to find out how the new record has allowed the project to evolve and progress in 2010.
We caught up with Madina Lake's drummer Dan Torelli before his band hit the stage and blew a hole in it (not literally, don't worry) with their infectious and uplifting brand of alternative rock at The Duchess in York. We chatted about the recovery of his bandmate Matthew Leone, new music and his ideal super-power.
Recently, we had the opportunity to catch up with Fair To Midland vocalist Darroh Sudderth to talk about what's been going on with the band as they work to record their next record. We chat about the vocalist's inspirations and some of the most exciting new plans.
"We are doing it all ourselves - we have the best grasp on what it is we're trying to do"
The Pineapple Thief is an innovative group from Yeovil that has captured the world's attention over the last decade with a diverse mix of sounds - blistering rock guitars meet atmospheric indie soundscapes, haunting electronic elements and sharp vocal tones to create a near-perfect aural assault. Formed by Bruce Soord in 1999, TPT was a solo project until 2002 when it expanded. Now, in 2010 after the release of defining eighth studio album, 'Someone Here Is Missing' we share a few words with Bruce to discuss the band's roots and how the concept has developed over time.
